James Parker, D.C., C.C.S.P., OLY
- Doctorate of Chiropractic
- Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician
- Post Graduate Training Specific to Sports and Sports Injury Care
- World Olympian Associate
- Post Nominal Designation
- OLY for Olympic Athletes
Dr. James D. Parker is a Utah native, growing up in Layton. He received B.S. degrees in Exercise Science and Human Biology from Utah State University; and a Chiropractic Doctorate in 2011 from the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon. Before that, he served six proud years in the US Air Force as a Services Officer.
Dr. Parker’s personal athletic accomplishments include 2004 Olympic Team member, nine times NCAA Division I All-American, three times US Hammer Throw champion, USU Athletics Hall of Fame inductee (2012), and numerous high school accolades.
A common injury ended Dr. Parker’s professional career right at its peak. He fervently believed that there should have been an effective treatment, but over the course of a year and a half, all recommended therapies were unsuccessful. A few years later Dr. Parker found what he believes would have been a solution for him. The agony caused by those lost opportunities drives him to help others so they don’t lose out on their dreams, whether those dreams be athletic pursuits or just navigating daily life.
As a result, Dr. Parker is a chiropractic consultant for USA Track and Field and has been on the medical staff for multiple World Championships and Olympic Games. The BYU Men’s basketball team benefited from his consulting from 2014-2019.
He loves spending time with his family, backpacking, and doing outdoor sports. His extensive training and experience in chiropractic work, sports medicine, muscle activation, and rehabilitation combine to give him great expertise to help keep your dreams alive.
